Maeve Aerospace will use Siemens Integrated Aircraft Design Suite software for the further development of the Maeve 01 all-electric aircraft for commercial aviation.

Both companies signed a contract together with Dutch software integration specialists Femto Engineering and cards PLM Solutions.

Use

The software enables Maeve Aerospace to collaborate with Siemens and all large and relevant aerospace suppliers on the detailed design of its aircraft and verify its performance through advanced computer simulations. Maeve Aerospace joins the list of companies like Boeing, SpaceX, Apple and Fiat/Chrysler using this software for the design of their products on component level.

“Next step in development”

Joost Dieben (founder Maeve Aerospace): "Working with Siemens integrated aircraft design suite software and their Dutch partners, is an important next step in our development of emission-free and low-noise civil aviation before 2030. With the agreement Maeve Aerospace enters the development process that requires a software package to get to a next level of detail and simulate its designs against the near-to-real-life situations”.

“Innovate for sustainability”

Leon Kivits (Siemens Digital Industries Software): “Striving for sustainable aviation is not only a must, but also an exciting challenge. Siemens is happy to be able to contribute and support Maeve Aerospace with tools and industry knowledge to take the next step in the aviation revolution. With the support of our specialized partners Femto Engineering and cards PLM Solutions, we are confident that Maeve Aerospace can make great steps in the design challenges ahead. Siemens is confident that this partnership will enhance Maeve's design and simulation capacity that will eventually lead to great innovations and a more sustainable future”.
